Hello Foodaholics, i trust you are all doing great today π. Yesterday didn't start online like some of us expected but hey, Nigeria is a big country and lots of foreigners live here, so it was just only a matter of time for that first case of the virus to be recorded BUT just like others before it, it will fade
away and this one will leave no casualties in Jesus name.
However, it is a good time to eat better or drink better and boost our immunity. Trust me you even worry more when you are a parent because you have to make sure your kids are keeping safe.
I have been on a routine tutorial with the twins. "Don't put your hands in your mouth, Don't poke your nose, don't touch your eyes" etc but as soon as we finish tutorial, someone is already crying while rubbing his eyes, saying his brother did not share a pen π€¦♀️... so much for our hands hygiene class.
Anyway, we pray and believe that evil will never come near us and our children.
Lagos state ran out of Hand Sanitizers yesterday, inshort some Pharmacy's in the UK don't even have Hand Sanitizers but don't panic! You can use your Anti-bacterial soap regularly for you and your kids. Methylated Spirit, Hydrogen peroxide, Vinegar are also good substitutes for the commercial Hand sanitizers. A big jar of vinegar is like N200 to N500 depending on the brand. Ogogoro even, can do the Hand Sanitizer job but you must moisturize afterwards. WASHING HANDS FREQUENTLY and not touching mouth, eyes and nose is still best. There are loads of Health articles online, you should read them up for precautions
For my immune booster drink (una know say i be Grandma pikin π) you need just lime and Scent leaves (Erurushin, Nchanwu, Effirin)
Wash them very well and cut lime open (i press out the juice and reserve for adding and mixing with squeezed Scent leaves, just a spoon like 2ce a day)
The squeezed lime, i throw into a pot of water with some Scent leaves. I boil on very low heat and once it comes to a boil, i turn it off and steep over night. I reheat slightly in the morning and sieve. Drink and save the rest in the fridge.
There shall be no plague in our land in Jesus name π
