SUNDAY RICE AND BEANS WITH GOAT MEAT STEW

Helloooo, Happy Sunday o, how was your rice?
Ok, so i had leftover wrapping leaves from this weeks shoot so i thought to put them to use before they all dry up.

Wrapping food in leaves was a thing in my Grandma's house in the good old days πŸ˜Š. We wrapped rice, moimoi, fufu, Agidi, Ukwa, Corn pudding, plantain pudding, Yam pudding etc in these leaves ... not always for flavour or aroma but this was their way of preserving and presenting food before the advent of nylons and all the plastic and coolers of these days.
My Grandma loved this leaves so much that she has them planted in her backyard, i have also seen her buy the seeds to plant and vividly remember her buying these leaves anytime she goes buying stuff from the market. She calls it "Ekukwo Igbodo" and i have also heard it being called "Ekwukwo Uma" in my vicinity.

My Sunday rice had all the effect of these leaves and it is best wrapped when rice is still very hot. Then you leave it to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Anyway, what do you call these wrapping leaves in your language? And what do you wrap with it?
MEANWHILE, THE MEAT FLESH INBETWEEN THE SHARP BONES THAT COULD HURT YOUR GUM ARE ALWAYS THE YUMMIEST
