BEANS & WEEVILS

Sometimes they can be negligible, sometimes the #infestation seem like a #catastrophe but first you must know that they are not harmful, they only don't look palatable when they hang on that red oil inside the pot of #beans 🤢.

When i was young, i didnt like seeing them in my plate of beans at all and i remember my mum saying "eat, it's protein" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I don't know about the #protein part but i am very sure that it is not harmful in any way.
Ever wondered how it gets into your beans even when you got it all perfectly sealed and air tight? Well, it is not anything you did. You brought the beans home with the #weevil eggs.
So no matter how clean they look when you buy the beans, some weevil #eggs may have gotten their way into one or 2 #seeds and #boom they will be having a #party in your pantry in no time.
Anyway i had a #catastrophic infestation in my #pantry recently because i always keep beans. The #twins love to eat beans a lot and so is their #dad especially for his #sunday #rice.
When i noticed the infestation i wanted to activate #oldwoman tricks ( add a handful of dry #chilli #pepper to the beans) then i realised i didn't have dry chilli.
So i took the whole pack of beans and dumped them in the #freezer to be brought out when i want to use them.
I am making beans this afternoon and all i did is to bring beans outta the freezer, put it in a tray, blow "calm" weavils out and cook my clean beans. The protein in the beans is enough, we don't need so much extra 🤣🤣🤣.
Anyway, i used "calm weevils" because i don't want any "pest protection rights activist" tagging me. I am sure you all know what happened to the weevils 🤔🤔😉.
