AKARA AND BREAD FOR THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE YEAR

We are so grateful for another year end, we thank God for mercies.
So it's #akara #beanscake or #beanfritters on our menu this morning and we are pairing with good ol' bread ( it's a combo ordained to work).
Making Akara is easy ...

* Pick the stones and chaff off the Beans
* Get the skin of the beans ( if you don't get everything out don't worry, i use a food processor to get the skin off quickly, the process takes me less than 4minutes)
*Rinse and seperate skin from Beans ( still dont fret if it doesnt all go off, eating the skin wont kill ya)
* Blend Beans, Onions and Pepper till smooth with very little water ( it can be tough for your regular blenders, so you can patronize the commercial grinders at the junction of your street)
*Season your Beans-mix to taste and be sure that the consistency is not watery
*Heat oil in a pan or pot be sure the oil gets to above 3 to 4 inches from the bottom
*Scoop beans with a spoon or icecream scoop into the oil ( i see these barter dispensers these days, haven't tried it but am sure they will work too)
* Turn the other side of the barter to cook till it's golden brown
*Remove and place in a cooking towel to drain.
Serve with Pap, bread, Garri, Agidi , cereal or anything that looks like the stuff on this list 😂😂😂

Ehen!... do people still do that end of year spring cleaning we did in our homes as kids?... when all the curtains have to come down and get washed cos the dust can't follow us to the new year 🤔🤔🤔
Much love from me guys 😘😘😘😘
