It is another #foodiesandspice weekend #People and we are serving #BangaSoup or #Palmnut Extract #Soup
For those in the #southern part of #Nigeria, this soup is quite popular, cooked with an addition of different ingredients and spices and known with various names.
From Atama to Ofe Akwu/ekwu to Banga, they are one and the same thing, may be slightly different in taste only because of some traditional ingredients that may be added but the star ingredient is the Palmnut #extract
The extract also forms as a base to so many other southern soups replacing Palm oil and this will give the soup a richer or thicker consistency.
This weekend i am hosting a #warri #boy @efemoney , winner #bigbrothernigeria2017 to this soup in my #kitchen #studio and he had a blast.
