Shrimped up Asaro(Yam Porridge)


Yippeeee! Foodaholics, we just hit 13k likes on Facebook and am loving it like this Shrimped up Asaro(Yam Porridge) i had last night for dinner. Thank you all for your support, you all make me thick. Keep Spreading the word about Foodies and Spice.
Meanwhile this Asaro is so easy to make, let me show you how....


INGREDIENTS

Half a tuber Yam
7 pieces of medium sized Fresh Pepper
Dried Shrimps
Half Bulb of Onions
Salt and Seasoning
2 table spoons of Palm oil

PREPARATION

Peel yam, wash and cut into chunks. Dice Pepper and Onions and clean dried shrimps by soaking in salt water.
In a pot of simmering water, add the yam, onions, pepper, Shrimps and season as desired.
As soon as yam is soft and can seperate easily add the palm oil. Stir yam very well allow to cook for 2 or 3 minutes then Serve.
