CHRISTMAS BREAD PUDDING RECIPE

Merry Christmas Eve Foodaholics (aka watchnight Day). When we were young, this day meant a lot in this Christmas holiday cos today, the goat and Chickens will have to go down, Today is the day we prep everything that we will have on our Christmas Table.


Christmas Eve, gave me my first bragging right that i can handle the kitchen and handle it quite well. My mum was a seamstress (aka Tailor) for some years and Christmas season is their SEASON... sometimes amidst all the materials she has to put together and customers waiting for their clothes, she allows me to prep the Christmas recipes and i was a competent helper. Have i ever told you i killed and dressed chicken at the age of 14, Yessss! I knew how to do that since that time.

Anyway i promised you a fast Christmas recipe this morning, this is the first one with pictures to go, so you have to click on all pictures to see the procedure. Meanwhile congrats to the winners of my Little Spice Basket, am sure Admin may have contacted you. If not he will soon.

So First Recipe is BREAD PUDDING you can serve this as desert or a side dish after you finish sharing Rice. For various Rice recipes, visit and subscribe to www.youtube.com/ginaehikodi . This Recipe is simple and you can go grab all the ingredients now so you can make it tomorrow morning.
 
Ingredients
10-12 Slices of Bread
1 Cup of Sugar
2 hand full of Mixed Fruits Raisins
2 cups of milk
4 Eggs
1 tbs of Vanilla


PREPARATION/PROCEDURE

Remove the crust from the bread
Slice Bread into cubes
Break Eggs into a bowl
Add Sugar
Whisk Egg and Sugar till Sugar is melted and mixture is foamy
Add the Vanilla

 Add the milk
  Whisk mixture
Add the Raisins and mix some more (you can soak raisin in rum or Vodka overnight and pour it into this mix but am breastfeeding the twins so no Alcohol for me)
Mixture may still be chunky but make sure its not too thick
Pour into a baking dish, if u dont have one lightly grease your baking pan and pour the mix
Put it into a preheated oven. ( i added some water into the oven tray before placing my baking dish) will allow it cook for 40 to 50mins or until done.

Let me go check it now cos i used the opportunity to upload this and also clean up the Kitchen.

Christmas Bubbly drink (Recipe 2)


Ok Foodaholics, the Bread Pudding is ready and it was dellllliciousssss. Family loved it. Everyone said it tasted like cake and icecream because of the whipped Cream.

So for our second recipe... ITS A BUBBLY drink. Trust me its not easy doing a lot when you have 2 babies to tend to but we still have to get creative. Ingredients???? Just Sprite, Basil leave or Scent leaves and Strawbery.

PREPARATION/PROCEDURE

 Simply get ready made whipped cream from the supermarket or get Ice Cream


 Serve like dis.... the Green is from the mixed fruits and the Red is strawberry

Place Basil leaf on palm
Clap it to release the aroma
Place in the glass of bubbly sprite then serve
We enjoyed the pudding. And the drink you will love the earthy aroma of basil in sprite.
